Management Undergraduate Programme

The School of Economics and Management is an institution renowned for its high-quality education and research standards and our Undergraduate degrees are designed and continuously adjusted to the evolution of the Higher Education system and to market demands.

Our School is highly recognised in the job market. This is reflected in its success in terms of employability: about half of our recent undergraduates secured a job even before completing their degree and about 95% achieved placement in the job market in less than 6 months.

Along with the development of scientific and technical skills, we favour teaching and assessment methods that also promote the development of soft skills, highly valued by the job market, such as: critical and systemic thinking, the ability to analyse and summarise, concern with accuracy and quality, initiative in solving problems, the ability to work independently and be integrated into a team and the ability to adapt to new situations and challenges.

These skills are vital for students to fully develop and for their success in the business world.

The teaching model used is widely recognised and favoured by employers, enabling our students to approach the job market prior to completing their Undergraduate degree. There are high levels of cooperation with companies and internships are promoted in renowned companies, thereby giving our students a certain advantage when facing the job market.

Within today’s extremely competitive and dynamic international context, we foster international mobility for all of our students. They are strongly encouraged to enjoy the experience of studying temporarily abroad at a foreign University, namely via cooperation agreements that have been signed with several European, American and Asian Universities. Summer internships at firms and institutions abroad are also promoted. This mobility provides students with a very gratifying experience at many levels, resulting in broadened horizons, greater ability to adapt to new situations, flexibility, autonomy, initiative and an entrepreneurial mindset.
